Canondale Synapse Hi-Mod
We were expecting significant rainfall and strong northerly winds but we had high cloud with sun in the morning and few spots of rain in the afternoon.
Jon wanted to watch football so we pushed on ahead of the rest early.
A bigger climb than I expected and we are still following the narrow west country lanes.
The north easterly wind did not come into play in the morning because of the steep banks and high hedges and the steep ascent from Cothelstone Manor up over the Quantocks was through woodland and was sheltered.
No aches or pains yet perhaps I am not trying hard enough but I do find it good fun to stay with the group for at least part of the ride.
