Completely clear skies early - cloud building through the day - remaining mainly sunny.
Perfect conditions for cycling with very light winds strengthening during the day.
At least half of the ride was on normal width roads - undulating but no major climbs.
I felt the first twinges of stiffness in my legs this morning but it very soon wore off.
I was chatting to the tour leader today and he said that this is one of the most even groups in ability that he has led.
We left Wales passed through Herefordshire and are now in Shropshire.
