Light rain overnight and still raining at breakfast but it stopped just before we started, I was dressed in wet weather gear so everyone knew it was going to be fine all day.
The sun tried to come out several times but it remained cloudy all day, there was no wind, just the occasinal local light breeze.
The course is short but it rates as the hardest day, it starts with a 3 mile climb followed by many other long climbs across the Yorkshire Moors, the steepest being up past Dent Station which starts at 30%.
Although the visibility was only fair the scenery was stunning with the cloud cover enhancing the views.
5 of us rode together stopping at the Curlew Cafe at Ingleton 24 miles and the Moorcock Inn for lunch 44 miles.
Chris lost the contents of his box on the back of his bike after hitting a cattle grid at speed, notes, coins, chocolate bars and phone strewn across the road, his phone is now cracked but still working and we recovered everything else.
On the last climb over the moors there was an air ambulance attending to what looked like a cycle accident (Not one of our group).
We are staying at the Fat Lamb Hotel at Ravenstonedale.
