We have made it to Scotland.
No major climbs - the ride followed river valleys - gently undulating.
There was a stiff Northerly wind all day, with cool temperatures and mainly sunny.
John, Andy, Derek, Paula, Mike, Martin and myself were in the peleton, we started at an easy pace, increasing it at 10 miles or so.
We had 2 fairly long stops for coffee and lunch, when we arrived in Scotland Derek pushed the peleton on at a furious pace for the last 10 miles or so making it our fastest day so far.
Pete rode by himself all day not stopping for too long enroute but he was just pipped at the post by Derek who was by now in Cavendish mode.
All riders have completed the stage.
We are now in Scotland - Counties - Cumbria - Dumfrieshire.
