A beautiful sunnny day apart a light wind on our nose.
This stage is the longest on the tour exceeding the distance many of our group have cycled in one day.
Mike,Paula,Martin,Pete,John,Derek,Andy and myself started all together, the peleton took on a holiday mode for the first 33 miles, stopping frequently for photographs and drinks.
Then for 18 miles, John,Andy & myself rode hard, closely followed by Mike & Paula.
After lunch the riders departed individually to tackle the 2 mile 15% climb, John once again showed us the way by starting nearly last and reaching the top first.
John waited for me at the top and we soon caught Andy and Derek up, John then made a break away and finished way ahead of Andy, Derek & myself.
My accomodation is a couple of miles further on so I have had Fish & Chips for supper and will have an early night looking forward to my favourite stage which is tommorow.
As yesterday this blog will updated tommorow.
Problems with my camera it got wet yesterday and it would not function today.
All riders completed the stage.
