Another hard but very enjoyable stage a fairly stiff headwind all day did not help.
Once again a slow start then a breakaway but this time we got lost and spent the best part of an hour going nowhere.
We were greeted with comments about the tortoise and hare at lunch.
Very narrow roads once again restricted speed but are very quiet and pretty.
I had the embarrassment of falling off my bike, not concentrating going uphill my front wheel struck a fallen branch and the bike disappeared beneath me, fortunately only my pride suffered any injury.
The afternoon across Dartmoor was a little bit bleak with light rain and a stiff headwind but the achievement made it worthwhile
Just for devilment a couple of 20% climbs were thrown in towards the end of the ride.
We have reached Devon.
