Mainly sunny - warmest day so far - light winds.
John,Derek,Andy,Pete,Martin,Mike,Paula and myself all started together, John did a faultless job of navigating the peleton through the tricky Glasgow Cycleway Network which covered the first 35 miles.
Andy had a puncture and cut his tyre badly, he patched it on the inside which got him to the backup vehicle, which of course, could not use the Cycleways
An interesting structure was standing close to where Andy had his puncture, it was a Doocot which has a long history in Scotland (see www.hiddenglasgow.com/doocots)
After leaving the Glasgow Cycle path we followed the shores of Loch Lomond until 52 miles
Mike had a puncture at about 40 miles as it was nearly lunch time he told the rest of the pelton to go on.
Some wanted to stop some wanted carry on so the peleton was split up.
There was a long climb from Ardgaton Visitor Centre but otherwise the course was relatively flat - it was the easiest day so far.
Pete excelled himself by coming in with the break away group with Derek, John and myself, John had the rare treat of riding in our slip stream while Derek led for the last 14 miles.
All cyclists completed the stage
