Cloudy all morning and sunny all afternoon the wind eased little from yesterday and in the afternoon changed from NE to E making very pleasant riding conditions
I had a bad start to the day by loosing my hearing aids, I missed most of breakfast, I went back to my room emptied all my luggage for the second time but finally found them in the waste paper basket, I was just in time to grab a bacon sandwich.
Then the first photo I took did not come out neither did any of the others, so there are no photos for Day 5.
A fast pace was set by 4 break away riders.
We stopped for coffee at 35 miles in a village next to Bishopstone, it was a coffee morning in aid of church funds, held in a church, we were made very welcome but it was strange to see all the men sat at one table and the women sat at another.
We then pushed on to Pembridge for lunch at 53 miles.
A fifth rider joined up with for lunch but straight after lunch 3 riders took the wrong turning but we managed to link back up with 2 of them, we rode the last 27 miles without a stop
Although it was 10 miles further than yesterday we finished an hour quicker.
